BEFORE YOU RACE TO COMPETITION, READ THE 2025/26 RULEBOOKS
Below are the competition regulations for the 2025-26 season. Each class, Professional and Development, has a Technical and Competition rulebook that defines project elements for Regional and National Finals. To access the Technical Regulations for each class, affiliate your school program and check out the ‘Rules’ section of the Team Portal!
Competition Regulations
Outline all competition elements that are needed to compete, as well as event procedures for what to expect at Competition!
C2.1.5 has been suspended for the 2025-26 school year. Any students aged 9-19 years old is eligible for the Development Class.
*The Development Class Technical Regulations have been updated to allow the use of CNC manufacturing for the car body component and the Car Minimum Weight (D3.6) has been increased to 80.0g (previously 60g). These regulation changes have been updated in the Scrutineering and Design & Engineering Scorecards in the Competition Regulations Appendix. No other regulations have been changed.
Technical Regulations
Detail the specifications that all race cars must be in compliance with for Competition! These change year-to-year and are only available to affiliated teams (learn how you can get access today).
